I have an insulated plate separating a cold (-40C) and hot (+30C) chamber with electrical wiring running running through a hole in the plate. I am running into issues with the hot air infiltrating the cold side and condensing / freezing on the electrical wires, the wire connector on the cold side, and the unit on the cold side. I need a non-permanent, easy to install / remove solution to help minimize warm air infiltration from one side to the other to limit the amount of condensation and eventual freezing.
Thanks for the question Brian! Having a removable and airtight seal is a particularly challenging application, especially when temperature cycling is concerned. Initially I would suggest trying 3M™ Extreme Sealing Tape 4412N. It is a thicker adhesive that should conform over the wires. Also, it should be able to be removed cleanly depending on the insulated plate material. I would use a test piece on the plate material.
