Hi, i am building a steam chamber out of a cattle trough. This will be used to steam treat wet mushroom substrate in bags. i will be insulating it with walk in aluminum faced poly iso freezer panels. I want the lid to have a watertight seal around the outer edge so i can get the steam to only escape from the vents i put in the lid. I want to bond 90 mil pond liner (EDPM) to one of the panels to use as the lid. This chamber will be hot for extended periods of time. it will take 12 hrs or so to climb up too 200F and then it will be held between 200 and 211 for 10-12 hrs. What kind of roll-able bonding adhesive would work for this application. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Mushroommatt, I think you could be heading in the right direction with the 4799 but the one thing I noticed when I reviewed the Tech Data Sheet was that it loses strength at elevated temperatures. As long as there are not undue stresses at elevated temps I feel it could keep it’s bond strength. Just my 2 cents.
Thank you for considering 3M Adhesives.
