Water based contact adhesives, like Fastbond 30, brush or roll easily with common paint brushes and rollers. Expect to throw the brush or roller away after use. Rinsing an adhesive down the drain could cause pipes to clog.
Solvent based contact adhesives, like Scotch Weld 1357 also use paint brushes and rollers but those rated for solvent use will last longer. Also, spread the adhesive in small 8” x 8” square sections. The solvent will dry too fast to try to spread over a large area at once. The brush or roller will get too sticky.
