SubscriberTrying to bond a laminated piece of card stock to a business card sized pvc card (like a grocery store bonus card). I need it to be pretty high strength and be water and air tight. To complicate things I need to be able to precisely apply the glue as it cannot run and touch the shurrounding area. I have about a 1/8” perimeter to apply the glue so it can’t be too runny. Thanks!

Thanks for the question. I was reading your list of requirements thinking about which glue to suggest, and it occurred to me that pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA’s, or adhesive tapes) might also be worth considering. Adhesive tape can be die cut or stamped into a preformed shape such as a perimeter. In this case, it would form a continuous bond that could seal and be applied precisely with no running or oozing. The two I’d suggest starting with in your evaluation would be 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 9472LE and 3M™ Double Coated Tape 93015LE. The main difference between the two is that a double coated tape has a carrier in the middle which makes it a bit more rigid and easier to handle in some cases.
If you wanted to try a liquid adhesive, you could start with 3M™ Hot Melt Adhesive 3748 or 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Plastic Adhesive DP8010NS.
