This is a great question. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a very stable polymer with a very low surface energy which makes it ideal for many non-stick applications. Unfortunately, that also makes it one of the most challenging substrates to adhere. In fact, there are only a few options for bonding to PTFE. For large parts, there are exotic options like chemical etching or plasma etching. For small parts, 3M™ offers a cyanoacrylate instant adhesive that can adhere to PTFE with a primer.
Cyanoacrylates work best with flat substrates, small areas (around 1 cm²), and shear or tensile stresses. For PTFE on ABS, you can test 3M PR100 with a primer on the PTFE (AC77). See the technical data sheets for detailed surface preparation and use instructions:
