There are several types of structural adhesives that can provide very high strength, including at elevated temperatures. In general, epoxy adhesives will be best for bare metal bonding and bonding thermosets and thermoset composites; and acrylic adhesives are best for thermoplastic bonding.
Epoxies will also generally provide better solvent resistance; whereas acrylics will cure more quickly.
