Thank you for bringing your adhesive bonding question to 3M.
One possible solution would be to use a liquid adhesive like Marine Adhesive Sealant 4000 UV. It has been used in similar applications with success. One of the places to find it would be a Marine supply store like West Marine or possibly a Home Depot. I would suggest that the surfaces to be bonded be clean and dry. Specifically clean of any previous adhesive and free of any contaminants to interfere with bonding. After application, lightly clamp them together. You don’t want to squeeze all of the adhesive out of the bonding area. I would suggest you allow it to dry for 72 hours before turning it into it’s upright position.
