We have to bond printed acrylic frontpanels (Size is 200 x 80 x 2mm) on pcbs.
the surface energy of the Frontpanel is around 40mNm/m dispersiv but only 1mNm/m polar
the surface energy of the PCB is around 38mNm/m dispersiv and about 4mNm/m polar
(measured with Krüss mobile Surface Analyzer)
because of the low surface energy, we use adhesive Tape 300LSE
can we expect a durable bonding?
The application is a frontpanel for infrared cabin, so alternating surface temperatures from 10 to 50°C are ecpected.
